We use the impersonal passive to express other people's opinions. It can be used with reporting verbs, including say, think, believe, know, hope, expect, report, understand, claim, etc.

HOW TO CHANGE FROM ACTIVE TO PASSIVE IMPERSONAL TO THE TENSES?

Example: People claim that the Mona Lisa is the most famous paiting in the world
First, we observe the tense of the verbs. In this case we have a Simple Present 'claim' plus another Simple Present "is". We can make two different Passive Structures We place "It" as the subject We make te normal Passive in the first verb. The rest of the sentences doesn't change:

It is claimed that the Mona Lisa is the most famous painting in the world.

Remember we use "It" as a subject and change the first verb into the Passive Voice. The rest of the sentence doesn't change:
1. They think that you lived in London

This tense follows the same pattern presented in the simple past because both started in the past and finished or are not longer happening in the present

After the verb suggest we can use V-ing or a clause with should:
- S + suggest + V-ing - S+ suggest + (that) + S + (should)+ bare infinitive

We can also use suggest + V-ing/clause with should to report someone’s ideas about what someone else should do, or what they should do themselves.
Example:
- Her mother suggested going to see the doctor. - The government suggested closing a number of primary schools. - The professor suggested that the students should read a number of books before the exam.
