Gangnam Style was a popular music fad that gained global attention in 2012. I often danced and sang along to the catchy tune with my friends, and we shared videos of ourselves doing the famous "horse-riding" dance. Me and my friends have also attended dance parties or concerts featuring the song or watched and shared humorous parodies or mashups online. Like many fads, Gangnam Style provided a sense of shared excitement and community among those who enjoyed it, and friends may have bonded over their mutual appreciation of the song and dance craze.
