This afternoon I had my birthday party and all my close friends came to my house. We were playing some games when Dad came back from work. He looked (2) ____________ when he saw T.'s dyed hair and ripped jeans. I think T. felt uncomfortable, so he said goodbye to all of us and left. After the party, Dad told me T. could be a bad (3) ____________on me and I should stop being friends with him. He said a good student should not dye his hair and should dress properly. I think Dad is being unreasonable. He should not judge my friends by their looks. T. is one of the best students in my class, but he wants to look (4) ____________. His dream is to become a famous actor and film director. He is very (5) ____________and has already acted in a few films. I am really worried and don't know what to do now. My best friend, Linh, dropped out of school and started working as a construction worker in order to earn his living because his parents can’t support him any more. Our form teacher and the school leaders tried to campaign his family to let him come back to school, but they refused just because they were in really bad economic situation. They need Linh to take the burden of a needy family. He was very sad to quit school, but he had to. I miss he very much now because I have no one to share my studies at school. He is a very good student. A bright future were waiting for him if he had a chance to come back to school. I have tried to help him, but how can I do this meanwhile I am still an eleventh grader?

I am really confused and don't know what to do now. Just because the other day my best friend, Linda, confided her secret to me in order to ask me for advice, and she asked me to keep it secret. I gave her my advice, but I wasn’t sure it would work. Afterwards, I happened to tell it to one of my classmates with the hope that she had more perfect solution to help Linda. Then this classmate shared it with the others. As a result, Linda’s secret spread. She knew it and broke up with me. I tried to explain and apologise, but she was so angry and refused my apology. I am now feeling very regretful, and I don't want our friendship to come to an end this way. We've been good friends for years. I really hope that she will forgive me for my mistake and become friends again.

I don't know what to do now. Last week I had an argument with my best friend because I thought she had lied to me. She tried to explain, but I was so angry that I refused to listen to her explanation. Yesterday, I happened to find out that I was wrong. I immediately called her to apologise, but this time it was her who refused to listen to me. I don't want our friendship to come to an end this way. We've been good friends for years. I really hope that she will forgive me for what I have done and said to her.

My family moved to a new town last week and today was my first day in my new school. Everything was new: new classrooms, new teachers and new classmates. At first, I felt very lonely because I knew nobody here. I just stood on my own feet and my new classmates were looking at me curiously. I didn't know what to say to break the ice. I felt miserable. But then everything changed when the teacher introduced me to the whole class and asked the class monitor to help me to get to know my classmates and the school rules. Carol is a wonderful class monitor. She took the initiative to show me around the school. She also helped me to make friends with other students. She made sure I was never alone on my first day in my new school. Although I still miss my old friends, I like my new school and classmates. I hope I can make lots of good friends here.
