Dr. Martin Copper and first cell phone
Martin "Marty" Cooper (born December 26, 1928) is an American engineer. While at Motorola in the 1970s, Cooper invented the first handheld cellular mobile phone in 1973 and led the team that developed it and brought it to market in 1983.
He is considered the "father of the (handheld) cell phone" and is also cited as the first person in history to make a handheld cellular phone call in public.

Nowadays, most people have a smartphone (even two) with them. We can use it to listen to music, surf the Web, play games... What are their benefits? First, anyway it is a phone, so it is used to communication. You can use it to make phone rails, send & receive messages as a normal phone.
Second, it also has functions as a game machine or a media player. It means that you can play games or listen to music on it. Finally, you can use it to surf the Web and use maps to look for places. It’s really useful when you need information right now or when you are lost.
