Objectives By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Listen for specific information from an interview - Develop the listening skills for general information and specific details. 2. See a short video:
I. PRESENTATION
1. Look at the picture and discuss:
1. Look at the picture and discuss with a partner what this flying car (or aerocar) can and cannot do. * Flying car can do:
- Flying car can do: The wings can be folded down and when not in use, that is when being used as a car only, are double-folded to the car sides. Unleaded petrol is used as fuel and parking can be done in your own garage. No traffic jams. The user can get an experience of both the pilot and a driver in the same vehicle. Routes can be counted on displacement, not distance, that is one can directly go to his destination without following a specific route. Time saving. One can fly to a holiday spot without any preplanned reservations. * Flying car cannot do:
- Flying car cannot do: They cannot be made a safe method of transport. They might be controlled by ANYbody... skilled or not. They would be an aircraft, and thus have to be used and controlled in a similar manner to aircraft. They would be costly to build and maintain. You can`t just pull up at the nearest cloud when you run out of fuel. II. LISTENING
