    1. Objectives:
    Objectives * By the end of this lesson, students can: - Review all what they have studied and the skills they have practiced since Unit 10. - Review skills: reading, speaking, listening & writing they have learnt from unit 10-11-12 by doing exercises 2. Content of lesson:

    Reading 1:
    1. Read the following passage and mark the sentences as true (T) or false (F). Texting Messaging Open clock Where r u? We r @ Lottle on 2/F. I`ll b 5 mins late. CUS. Wanna c a movie this wkd? Pls call me rite bck. Thx. Hi! Wot R U doin 2nite? Did u c it? LOL. Texting is a new way of exchanging information, and it is becoming more and more popular among the young. In fact, texting is clearly affecting language. There are no rules for it. We are creating a new aspect of vocabulary and opening up a new kind of playful and direct communication. Naturally, texting is fun and that`s fine, but some people are worried about the effects is might have on a child` ability to read and write. But not everyone is so worried. An expert says, "Every time a new medium comes along it has an effect on language...But this doesn`t destroy the existing language, it adds to it." In text messages, many words come from shorthand created in email, such sa CUS (see you soon) and so on. Someone says, "Mostly they are original, but sometimes you get a clash of meanings. For example, LOL can mean both Laugh Out Loud and Lots of Love. That could lead to some misunderstandings." - The Task:

What is the most important invention of the past hundred years? - I think that cell phones are the best invention for many reasons: Mobile phones are the most important invention ever created by people for many crucial reasons such as communication, access to information and for emergencies. First of all, mobile phones are an important invention because it allows people from around the world to communicate. Mobile phones help families stay in contact with each other from different parts of the world very easily. Loved ones can communicate about their lives and tell each other how much they are missed. Moreover, mobile phones are an important invention because it allows people to have access to information with a click of a button. People can learn and find out about all sorts of interesting things like space or tomorrows weather. In addition, people can play games which are lots of fun. - Suggestion speaking:

What is the most important invention of the past hundred years? - I think that cell phones are the best invention for many reasons: To finish off with, mobile phones are an important invention because it helps people in times of emergency. When people are in danger or life threatening situations a mobile phone is a useful kind of technology that helps people get into contact with emergency services such as the police and ambulance. Therefore, mobile phones help save lives. There is no doubt that mobile phones are most important invention because it allows for communication around the world, it lets people have access to information and to contact emergency services when needed. Mobile phones have CHANGED the world! III. LISTENING

The fourth time, I managed to speak to Tom, and we exchanged a few words, then we were cut off and we lost the connection. I got very angry. Mike: And ...? Nick: When I tried again later, he wasn`t in the office. Mike: But Nick, tell me, what did you want to tell your brother so urgently? Nick: That my home telephone is out of order. Tom is the Head of the Telecom Department. IV. WRITING
    Writing 1:
    4. Write an onlline message to a friend and tell him/her about the problems you have had recently with your Ipad. You can refer to the following: time-consuming flat battery weak signal no connection - Suggestion writing:
    Suggestion writing Nick :3 Hi, Nick. I couldn`t call for you. My Ipad had some problems: The first, my ipad disconnected Wi-Fi server at the school. Secondaly, it is not charging or is slow to charge, so don’t supply enough power to it runs. Thirdly, If you want to use the internet, you will need flash because the majority of websites rely on it. Sometimes, my iPad touchscreen was slow or did not respond. Moreover, When I was supposed to be working, it was very easy to quickly access a game, message, or app that I shouldn’t be using! * THE END
